The NC Dinos completed a three-game series sweep over the weekend.
NC won a 12-7 victory over the Kiwoom Heroes in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at NC Park in Changwon on Saturday. After sweeping the three-game weekend series against Kiwoom, NC went on a four-game winning streak.
The NC bats pounded out 15 hits and one home run. Son hit his fourth home run of the season and drove in four runs, while Jason Martin went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and a run scored. Choi Bo-sung also had a three-hit game, while Kim Sung-wook and Kim Han-byul had multi-hit games.
Starting pitcher Song Myung-ki earned his third win of the season after allowing three runs on five hits (one home run) with two walks and five strikeouts in five innings. The bullpen of Kim Si-hoon (1 run in ⅔ innings), Kim Young-gyu (1 run in 1⅓ innings), Cho Min-seok (3 runs in 0 innings), Lim Jung-ho (1 run in 1 inning), and Ryu Jin-wook (1 run in 1 inning) preserved the win.
Kiwoom fell to their eighth straight loss. Starting pitcher Ian McKinney took the loss, allowing eight runs on nine hits (one home run) with three walks and two strikeouts in 3⅔ innings. At the plate, transfer student Lee Ju-hyung went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBIs and two runs scored. Kim Dong-heon and Kim Soo-hwan also had multi-hit games, but came up short in the loss.
NC opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning with back-to-back doubles from leadoff hitter Jason Martin and Kim Sung-wook. Yoon struck out, but Choi Bo-sung singled to put runners on first and third. Ahn Jung-yeol followed with an RBI single. Kim Han-byul followed with a walk, and with runners on first and third, Son Asub blasted a three-run home run to make it 5-0.
Kiwoom got on the board in the top of the fourth when Kim Hui-jip walked and Lee Ju-hyung followed with a two-run homer. Kim Dong-heon followed with an infield single and Kim Tae-jin hit a grounder to the second baseman to put runners on the corners, but a wild pitch moved him to second. Kim Soo-hwan followed with an RBI double to score one more run.
NC answered right back in the bottom of the fourth. Ahn Jung-yeol walked, Kim Han-byul singled, and Son As-seob walked to load the bases, and Park Min-woo singled to score a run. Kwon Hee-dong drew a walk to load the bases again, and Martin followed with an RBI double to make it 8-3.
Kiwoom got on the board in the top of the sixth when leadoff hitter Kim Hwijip drew a walk. Lee Ju-hyung followed with a double, putting runners on second and third, and Song Sung-moon followed with a single to bring in a run.
NC tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the seventh as Choi Bo-sung singled, Ahn Jung-yeol was hit by a pitch, Kim Han-byul walked, Son As-seop singled and scored on an error, Do Tae-hoon walked, Kwon Hee-dong singled and Martin doubled.메이저사이트
Kiwoom scored three more runs in the top of the eighth on a Lee Ju-hyung single, Kim Dong-heon single, Song Sung-moon RBI double, and Kim Soo-hwan RBI double, but no more runs were scored.
